This month we had the pleasure of sitting down to talk with actor/director/writer R. Keith Harris about his films, his thoughts on the state of filmmaking here in NC, and screen his trailer for the film Harvest. R. Keith Harris has been very involved in North Carolina’s film scene and has developed quite an impressive resume. We appreciate him taking the time to sit down with us and we encourage you to visits, not only his website, but to become his friend in the myspace universe.

Below is a synopsis of the film:
Set in 1953. Tony’s marriage is great for the first time since he admitted his infidelity. Tony and Sara are trying to finish this years harvest and then they are moving away to start anew. Sara is newly pregnant and Tony is proud. Tony cheated with his bosses wife Brigitte Potter. Mr. Potter has suspected something but has never been sure. Mr. Potter, fueled by questions, can take no more – so, he sets Tony up. However, Mr. Potter and Tony are both surprised by the twist that unravels life as they know it right before their very eyes. The heart is a fertile field. Deceit cannot stay buried forever. First, a seed is planted. Next, there is a season of growth. Then, then comes… HARVEST.
Harvest has appeared in numerous festivals (Damah Film Festival: Nominated, Best Short; North Carolina Film Festival: Winner, Honorable Mention; Charlotte Film & Video Festival: Winner, Audience Award Best Short) and won a chance to be screen in it’s intirety on Time Warner Cable’s Carolina OnDemand. In the second half of the show, we had a chance to screen the film Just Yesterday by Director John Fitch III. Just Yesterday is a short film by Javacat Films and Andra Dawn Productions.
Synopsis
A young man struggles to cope with the sudden death of his younger sister. He embarks on a reckless journey that leads him to unexpected places. A story of loss, redemption, and the forgiveness of tomorrow.
